Happy World Dracula Day! Today is a celebration of the publication anniversary of Bram Stoker's immortal classic on May 26th, 1897, and we have exciting news to share from Matt Wagner and Kelley Jones. The two have previously teamed up for epic Dracula tales in previous graphic novel releases: The Impaler, The Brides, and The Count. But they're not done telling tales of the infamous count and have announced that they're returning for: DRACULA: BOOK IV – THE UNDEAD!
The fourth and final volume in Matt Wagner and Kelley Jones' series of original graphic novels about the history of Dracula will conclude with a tale that continues the story beyond Bram Stoker's book:
"Legendary comics creators Matt Wagner and Kelley Jones are returning for the fourth and final volume in their series of original graphic novels about the shadowy history of the world’s most famous literary character—DRACULA! For the first time ever, this beautiful European-sized volume will unveil what happened after the events of Bram Stoker’s classic 1897 book, when the infamous vampire lord finally became…THE UNDEAD!"
Having worked together on the past three graphic novels, Wagner and Jones have been hard at work on the forth book, and are excited to share what Wagner says is their favorite volume of the series:
"I handed Kelley the finished script for BOOK IV—THE UNDEAD just before Xmas ’25 and he’s currently hard at work on the art. Of course, I’m sure none of you will be surprised to hear…it looks absolutely amazing!
Kelley and I both agree this part of the vampire lord’s story…which unveils what happened after the events of the novel’s canonic finale…is the most evil chapter of his history yet! And it’s also our mutually favorite volume in the series to date (and that’s saying something)!"
