A sequel to V/H/S was announced last month and the first photo has now been released. Officially titled S-VHS, the found footage anthology film will see the return of Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett, with Wingard directing a full segment and Barrett making his directorial debut.

Joining them are Edurardo Sanchez co-directing his segment with producing partner, Gregg Hale. Gareth Evans will also be co-directing a segment with Macabre‘s Timo Tjahjanto. The last director involved on the project is Hobo With a Shotgun‘s Jason Eisner. Filming is currently taking place in Los Angeles, Maryland, Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Indonesia. While no release date has been set, we wouldn't be surprised to see it follow a similar release pattern to the first film.

The first movie is currently available on-demand and played a number of limited theatrical engagements. It will be released to Blu-ray/DVD on December 4th. V/H/S  features segments directed by Adam Wingard, Ti West, David Bruckner, Glenn McQuaid, Radio Silence, and Joe Swanberg. The film stars Joe Swanberg, Calvin Reeder, Adam Wingard, Sophia Takal, Kate Lyn Sheil, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Chad Villella, and Tyler Gillett.

“When a group of petty criminals is hired by a mysterious party to retrieve a rare piece of found footage from a rundown house in the middle of nowhere, they soon realize that the job isn’t going to be as easy as they thought. In the living room, a lifeless body holds court before a hub of old television sets, surrounded by stacks upon stacks of VHS tapes. As they search for the right one, they are treated to a seemingly endless number of horrifying videos, each stranger than the last.”

Thank to Twitch for revealing the first photo from Gareth Evans and Timo Tjahjanto's segment:
