We had a great time at the Run For Your Lives zombie 5K last year and are looking forward to this year's obstacle race. There are events taking place all year long across the country and a number of changes have just been announced. We also have the latest promo video and the current list of dates/locations.

Unique Medals: "You wanted another way to brag, and now you've got it. We are now offering unique medals for those who survive the race and for those who get infected during the event, so you can proudly display your race status to the world."

New Obstacles: "We will be completely revamping the course this year with new, more difficult, obstacles. In 2013 our obstacles will challenge you to work together with your fellow hopeful survivors in order to survive. So make sure to start recruiting your trusted allies now, and get ready to make some new best friends on event day. (And don't worry, we're still keeping around a select few 2012 fan-favorite obstacles too)."

New Party: "In 2012 you told us you wanted more entertainment options for spectators and in 2013 you'll get just that. This year, in addition to the live bands and DJs, we'll kick the party up a notch with plenty of contests, competitions and new sponsors. We've also reduced the price of the Apocalypse Pass to $15 online and $25 at the gate, per person, so more of your friends can join in on the action. Spectator registration is now open!"

If you're looking to sign up right away, they are offering a temporary $5 off discount code on runner registration for any 2013 location. Just enter the code "SURVIVE13" before Friday, January 11 at 11:59 PM. We've included the old and brand new promo videos below to give you an idea of what we went through last year. Expect plenty of coverage and contests for Run For Your Lives throughout the year.
