NBC recently announced an April 4th premiere date for Hannibal, but don't worry about being left out if you live in the UK. It has just been announced that Sky Living made an exclusive deal to bring the series to Sky Living HD:

Are you ready for a thrill? You should be, because the hotly anticipated US thriller Hannibal is coming soon to Sky Living HD.

Written by Heroes showrunner Bryan Fuller, it stars Casino Royale's Mads Mikkelson as the infamous psychiatrist turned serial killer, British actor Hugh Dancy as FBI agent Will Graham and The Matrix's Laurence Fishburne as head of the FBI's behavioural sciences unit Jack Crawford. Also joining the starry cast is Gillian Anderson, who'll play Lecter's therapist, and Eddie Izzard.

Loosely based on the characters from Thomas Harris' classic novel Red Dragon, the drama will explore the complex relationship between Lecter and Graham.

Graham's unique way of thinking gives the FBI agent the astonishing ability to empathise with anyone - even psychopaths. He always seems to understand what makes them tick, but when the motives of the twisted killer he's pursuing get too complicated for even him to comprehend, he enlists the help of Dr Lecter - one of the leading psychiatric minds in the country.

Armed with Lecter's uncanny expertise, it seems there's no villain he can't catch. If Will only knew his new partner may just turn out to be the one he's hunting...

Director of Sky Living Antonia Hurford-Jones says: “We're delighted to be adding Hannibal to our line-up of quality US drama on Sky Living. We know this is something our customers really love and we're committed to bringing them the best the US has to offer. This series is perfect for Sky Living because it will appeal not only to our core female audience, but to a shared one too."
