Deep Silver has announced that those attending PAX East later this month will be able to play Dead Island Riptide before it's released to stores in April:
"Larkspur, Calif. – March 15, 2013 -- Today, Deep Silver emerges from its remote mountain lair to unveil its lineup for PAX East 2013, which includes Saints Row IV™, Dead Island™ Riptide, Metro: Last Light™, and Sacred™ Citadel.
The newly announced Saints Row IV will make its worldwide debut in Boston next week with exclusive behind-closed-doors presentations led by producers from Volition. As an added bonus to the Saints Row community, any PAX East attendees that cosplay as a Saints Row character will be allowed to skip to the front of the line for the presentation. Attendees are expected to leave the Saints Row theater wide-eyed and joyous, their clothes transmuted into black suits with purple accents.
And why not follow the Saints Row presentation with a little undead massacre? Deep Silver will also showcase the hotly anticipated Dead Island Riptide -- the successor to the massive zombie-killing hit of 2011. Every attendee that plays Dead Island Riptide at the Deep Silver booth can enjoy a multiplayer session with one of Dead Island Riptide’s producers. This will not guarantee player survival, but will enhance attendees’ bragging rights by 4.23%, according to early calculations.
But Deep Silver isn’t done yet, no sir. Metro: Last Light, the next entry in the chilling, post-apocalyptic series from 4A Games, will be playable to the public for the first time on the show floor. Gamers willing to subject themselves to the horrors and danger of irradiated Moscow need only come to the booth. No Hazmat suits required, though decorative gas masks are encouraged.
Finally, Deep Silver will be hosting three-player multiplayer sessions for Sacred Citadel, the side-scrolling brawler set in the rich and wonderful Sacred universe. With robust role-playing elements and a drool-inducing art style, Sacred Citadel aims to fuse the RPG genre with the brawler, fulfilling the long-foretold prophecy gifted to the founders of Deep Silver by the Ancient Ones.
