R.I.P.D. will be released July 19th and we've seen so little of the movie up until now. That changed with today's release of the first trailer, as it appears to give us a really good idea of what to expect from this upcoming comic book adaptation.
Based off the Dark Horse comic series of the same name, R.I.P.D. was directed by Peter Schwentke (Red) and tells the story of a murdered cop that is recruited to work in a police force comprised of ghosts:
"Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline the 3D supernatural action-adventure R.I.P.D. as two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side."
R.I.P.D. stars Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stephanie Szostak, Robert Knepper, James Hong, Marisa Miller, Mike O'Malley, and Devin Ratray.
