*Updated* While there are a number of actors that are in talks or are being considered for a role in the next Jurassic Park movie, one young actor is officially on board. Deadline is reporting that Ty Simpkins (Insidious, Iron Man 3 - pictured below) has officially joined the cast of Jurassic World. Bryce Dallas Howard and New Girl's Jake Johnson are also potential additions to the cast, but they haven't officially signed on at this time.

*Updated* Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer) is also in talks for a role in the film and would be playing the older brother of Ty Simpkins character. [via THR] There is a bit of a conflict on the two reports regarding the status of Howard and Simpkins being officially signed or still "in talks," but expect this cast to come together quickly. We'll update this story with an official announcement when it is made.

Jurassic World will be released by Universal Pictures in 3D on June 12th, 2015. Safety Not Guaranteed‘s Colin Trevorrow is directing, with Steven Spielberg on board as an executive producer. The script was written by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.

Specific plot details have been kept under wraps and we have no character information at this time either. At this point, all we really know is that the film will be shot in 3D and should begin filming early next year.
