We've been keeping Daily Dead readers posted on Jurassic World and have another major bit of casting news. Josh Brolin could be taking on a leading role in the Jurassic Park sequel, according to The Wrap. While this is not a done deal yet, he's one of a number of actors in talks to be a part of the ensemble cast, including Ty Simpkins, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, and Nick Robinson.

Specific plot details have been kept under wraps, so we have no character information at this time. At this point, all we really know is that the film will be shot in 3D and should begin filming early next year. If they stick to their schedule, we should have the casting news confirmed later this year.

Jurassic World will be released by Universal Pictures in 3D on June 12th, 2015. Safety Not Guaranteed‘s Colin Trevorrow is directing, with Steven Spielberg on board as an executive producer. The script was written by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.
