Warner Bros Buys Undying Love

After recently picking up Blood Wars, Warner Bros is taking another stab at the vampire genre by buying the rights to Image Comics' Undying Love. This story is a bit different than your traditional vampire film, mixing Chinese monster mythology and the Hong Kong action style:

"The story centers on an ex-soldier who falls for a girl that happens to be a vampire. The only way the two can be together is if the man takes on the vampire who created her, which also means fighting an army of monsters in the Hong Kong underworld."

Fans of the comic will be happy to know that the comic's creators Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman will write the script. As this is a very early in-development project, there is no word on potential directors or casting, but we'll keep readers updated when we hear more about the film.

About the Author - Tamika Jones

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
