John Carpenter is going to be involved with the release of the comic book series Asylum. Planned as a online-only 12 volume series, the first issue will be available this Halloween.

According to Badass Digest, the first issue will be scored by Carpenter and each issue will feature a video introduction from him. A preview and teaser image has been released, along with the official plot synopsis:

"There’s a war coming and the battle ground is the City of Angels. In tunnels beneath the city, in the dark alleys among the homeless…demons lurk and Lucifer bides his time. One man knows. One man sees. One man walks those dark streets."
