It had been previously reported that AMC was considering a live after-show that would follow each episode of The Walking Dead. It has now been made official and we have the the details.

Titled "Talking Dead", the show will be a live half-hour program hosted by Chris Hardwick. The show is set to start alongside the premiere of The Walking Dead's second season on October 16th. According to Deadline, "Talking Dead will feature Hardwick talking to fans, actors, producers and TV enthusiasts, recapping that most recent Dead episode and taking questions and comments from viewers."

“Fans of The Walking Dead are incredibly engaged with every aspect of the show. They tweet, blog, and post comments in very large numbers, and we wanted to give them an opportunity to interact with the show in a way that they don’t currently have — a kind of live water cooler,” said Joel Stillerman, AMC’s SVP original programming, production and digital content.

According to the announcement, Talking Dead will run after each encore showing of The Walking Dead at 11pm. We're assuming that there will be some kind of online social element for fans to interact and we'll have more details as they become available.
