Viewers have watched him pound the pavement of New York City for years as the host of Funny or Die's Billy on the Street, the high-energy, unpredictable comedic pop culture game show, and now Billy Eichner will spend some time in Ryan Murphy's world, as the actor has joined the cast of American Horror Story Season 7.

Deadline reports the news of Eichner's casting on American Horror Story, revealing that he'll join returning cast members Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, who have played numerous characters in the horror anthology series.

According to Deadline, Eichner will play "a close confidant of Paulson’s character and mostly will be wearing mysterious tank tops."

While official plot details for season 7 are unsurprisingly unknown at this time, American Horror Story co-creator Murphy told Andy Cohen this winter that the new season will start filming in June and is going to "be about the election that we just went through." Deadline also mentions that the season 7 premiere will be "taking place on Election Night."

American Horror Story Season 7 is expected to premiere this fall on FX, with the network renewing the series for seasons 8 and 9, respectively.

In addition to Billy on the Street, Eichner co-stars in Hulu's Difficult People, played Craig Middlebrooks on Parks and Recreation, and voices Mr. Ambrose on Bob's Burgers. It will be interesting to see what type of a role Eichner gets on American Horror Story, and we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more details on the seventh season are revealed.
