Based on the vampiric Konami video games that pit Belmont vampire hunters against Count Dracula himself, Castlevania will return for a fourth season on Netflix.

The renewal news was revealed in a video on an official Netflix Twitter account (see below). A premiere date and episode count for the fourth season have yet to be announced, but we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated as more information is revealed. The third season, which premiered on March 5th, consisted of 10 episodes, while the first two seasons had four and eight episodes, respectively.

"Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar."
