Following the premiere of its second season last week, the animated Castlevania series has been renewed for a third season by Netflix.

Deadline first reported the news of Castlevania's third season renewal, with the show's official Twitter page confirming the news.

According to Deadline, Netflix has ordered 10 new episodes of the series, which would make it the biggest episode order yet for the show (season 1 has four episodes and season 2 features eight installments).

No further details have been revealed at this time, but we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated as more information is announced.

"Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar.

Season 2: As Dracula and his legion of vampires prepare to rid the world of humanity's stain, an unlikely trio of heroes dares to stand in their way."
