MONDO VINYL:

Knives Out - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2XLP

Mondo and Cut Narrative are proud to present the original score to Rian Johnson's 2019 whodunit KNIVES OUT.

Nathan Johnson is Rian's long time collaborator (BRICK, THE BROTHERS BLOOM, LOOPER) and a master of genre - able to deftly pivot from the chaotic noise of the future LOOPER to the classic orchestral strings and stings needed to underscore this New England murder-mystery.

This vinyl release features three bonus tracks not available anywhere else. This 2X 180 Gram vinyl set is housed in a beautiful package designed by Jay Shaw, featuring a die-cut window and containing one of nine randomly inserted "Suspect" cards.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Once More With Feeling LP

Mondo, in conjunction with Fox Music, is proud to present the premiere vinyl pressing of the soundtrack to the classic musical episode of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER - Once More With Feeling.

This sixth season fan favorite mixes up the show's classic formula by introducing a series of seemingly innocuous musical numbers performed by the townsfolk of Sunnydale. It turns out, however, this is caused by the arrival of a demon named Sweet, who has more sinister plans for the titular Vampire Slayer and her sister Dawn.

Available for the first time in over 15 years, and for the first time on wax, this re-issue is pressed on 180 gram colored vinyl and features all new liner notes by series creator and songwriter Joss Whedon.

Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2XLP

Mondo Music in partnership with Hollywood Records is proud to present the premiere vinyl pressing of Mark Mothersbaugh's score to THOR: RAGNAROK

Former Devo frontman Mark Mothersbaugh (The Royal Tenenbaums, The Lego Movie) is the perfect choice for Taika Waititi's radical third chapter in the THOR series. Skillfully weaving the sonic landscape of the high fantasy genre with otherworldly synth, Mothersbaugh has produced one of the best scores of the entire MCU.

Available for the first time on vinyl, on a limited 2XLP pressing featuring stunning illustrations by Yuta Onoda.

Ghostbusters - Original Motion Picture Score 2XLP

Oh boy! We often talk about holy grails here at Mondo and GHOSTBUSTERS by Elmer Bernstein is one of our top 10 most wanted scores and we are stoked to finally be able to bring you the fully expanded score by Elmer Bernstein. The minute the needle hits the record you are transported back to your youth and transfixed by this magical score. The score is so rich, so varied and so damn good it has to be one of the most instantly recognizable soundtracks of the '80s. Bernstein using a mix, of horns, woodwind, synths and a full orchestra to create something that feels like it was recorded in another world. It’s playful, eerie, foreboding and exciting all at once. It doesn’t get any better than this, and Paul Mann’s artwork is the absolute icing on the cake. Do not sleep on this as it will not be repressed.

Shock - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2XLP

SHOCK was released in 1977 & directed by horror maestro Mario Bava, released while Italian horror cinema was at its peak, following the international success of Dario Argento with DEEP RED and SUSPIRIA. While Goblin soundtracked the work of Argento, the choice for the music of SHOCK fell on Libra, (distant relatives of Goblin , thanks to drummer Walter Martino and guitarist Carlo Pennisi). In ‘77 Libra, after a brief dalliance with legendary soul/funk label Motown, had practically split up, but on the insistence of Bava they found the necessary inspiration to record the soundtrack to SHOCK, you could say the score was inspired by Goblin’s mix of Prog, Funk and Synths, but it absolutely rages with its own personality. It contains some outrageous over the top prog, terrifying synth attacks, delicate and acoustic atmospheres as well as dissonant and avant-garde soundscapes.

Evil Dead: A Nightmare Reimagined 2XLP - Event Editions

One of the most legendary horror scores ever gets recorded & reinvented for 2018. Joe LoDuca went back to the drawing board to fully re-record and expand his original score to The Evil Dead with absolutely terrifying results. The record you hold in your hands manages to keep the essence and familiarity of the original score yet feels completely new and exciting due to the addition of all new music combining the classic and the contemporary.

Tenebre - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

TENEBRE is the 1982 Giallo masterpiece from Director Dario Argento. Although his frequent musical collaborators Goblin had disbanded while he was filming, Argento managed to convince three members of the group to reform and record the score to TENEBRE. Claudio Simonetti, Fabio Pignatelli & Massimo Morante re-assembled in their studio and managed to deliver one of the greatest soundtracks of the 80s, Simonetti brought with him his love of Italio disco and the mixture of solid disco grooves and their intense, tight Prog Rock stylings is nothing short of astonishing. The lead track is a vocoder lead freakout that mixes disco, rock with church organs, and screeching synth leads and that pretty much sets the tone for the entire record.

TENEBRE is far more electronic based than the majority of the bands scores for Argento and it really shines alongside other classic such as SUSPIRIA & DEEP RED.

Hellbound: Hellraiser II - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

Christopher Young returns to score the sequel to Hellraiser with arguably his most terrifying score to date. HELLBOUND is absolutely terrifying, fusing a large orchestra, a choir, and electronics. Young manages to expand on the original score to deliver something much larger in scope and harkening back to the golden age of horror scores. A master of his craft, his work here is incredible with many layers to unravel, which reward on multiple listens.

Twin Peaks: Music From The Limited Event Series 2XLP

Come Join us on our final journey to the town of Twin Peaks, take a seat at the Roadhouse, grab a drink and witness some of the finest musical performances any dive bar in America has ever seen.

This double LP features tracks by NIN, Eddie Vedder, The Chromatics, Otis Redding, Lissie and of course Julee Cruise and Angelo Badalamenti. An incredible dive into the musical mind of series creator David Lynch; this really is an incredible document of the artists that visited Twin Peaks during the Limited Event Series. Once again our release has been mastered by Mike Bozzi at Bernie Grundman Mastering, cut by Bernie Grundman himself with pressing duties being handled by QRP (Quality Record Pressings) in Kansas. Sounding superb, this is sure to transport you back to your favorite series. You can taste the whiskey and cigarette smoke the minute you drop the needle on the record.

A Nightmare on Elm Street - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

Charles Berstein’s score to the 1984 horror classic A Nightmare On Elm Street is not only a classic of the genre but also one of the most memorable scores of the 1980s. A mix of creepy synths, off-kilter nursery rhymes and heavy rhythmic percussion filtered with just enough distortion to offer up a real sense of dread. We are thrilled to be releasing Wes Craven’s original Nightmare as a standalone release (Box Of Souls our 8LP box set is still available) this score is sure to give you nightmares, just remember whatever you do…don't fall asleep.

La Setta (The Sect) - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

Death Waltz Recording Company is proud to present the complete score to director Michele Soavi’s 1991 horror film, THE SECT  (Italian title: LA SETTA), also known as THE DEVIL'S DAUGHTER. This demonic cinematic offering, co-written and produced by Dario Argento, features a brilliant score by one of the great maestros of horror film composing, Pino Donaggio (CARRIE, PIRANHA, TOURIST TRAP, BLACK CAT, THE HOWLING, et al.). For this film, Donaggio incorporates synthesizers, electronic percussion, and a creepy chorus of voices to capture the ominous occult atmosphere of Soavi’s work. With plenty of jumps and scares, Donaggio expertly accentuates the tension onscreen with this frightfully foreboding score. As you drop the needle on this satanical slab of wax, be prepared to relish in some auditory Luciferian delights as you fall under the spell of THE SECT (Alfonso Carrillo, RENDEZVOUS, LA).

Who Framed Roger Rabbit - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

Mondo, in partnership with Walt Disney Records, is proud to present Alan Silvestri’s soundtrack to the film WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT, available on vinyl for the first time in 30 years.

To this day WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT is still considered a landmark achievement in film making, seamlessly combining 2D animation and live action, with a clever take on the interior lives of the world’s most beloved cartoon characters.

Following their previous successful collaboration with Robert Zemeckis on BACK TO THE FUTURE, Alan Silvestri’s score is one of his most ambitious. An inspired genre blend, bouncing from pot-boiling noir, to the madcap zaniness of a cartoon serial, to the songs and standards of the 1940s.

The Church - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

“LA CHIESA” (THE CHURCH) is a 1989 film, directed by Michele Soavi (DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE) and produced by the master of Italian horror Dario Argento, who also participated in the writing of the story and screenplay. The soundtrack is composed by Keith Emerson and Goblin. Classical, prog rock and electronics sounds are skillfully blended to create a late entry Italian masterpiece. Emerson, in particular, makes extensive use of a church organ, mindful of his work for Dario Argento’s film INFERNO a few years earlier (1980), while Goblin continue on the bombastic electro prog rock they had fine tuned during the last 20 years.

In collaboration with our friends at Sacred Bones Records, Waxwork Records is proud to announce PARASITE Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Jung Jae Il as a limited and exclusive double LP variant and featuring art by Greg Ruth!

Parasite, the seventh feature film by Korean director Bong Joon Ho, premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, where it took the coveted Palme d'Or for best film in competition. Since then, it has become the most critically acclaimed film of the year. For the film's bracingly original score, Bong turned to Jung Jae Il, who brings the world of Parasite to life with plaintive piano and stirring strings.

Child’s Play (1988)

Waxwork Records is thrilled to announce the release of CHILD’S PLAY Original 1988 Motion Picture Music by Joseph Renzetti! CHILD PLAY’s electronic / orchestral hybrid film score by Joseph Renzetti is a fan favorite that was released on the vinyl format only once prior in 1989 after the theatrical release of the movie. Ominous synth drones, pulsing electronic percussion, and nightmarish de-tuned harpsichords round out the terrifying score. The music of CHILD’S PLAY moves from hellish soundscapes to driving, chase-like rhythms in violent fashion.

Waxwork worked to acquire the complete CHILD’S PLAY score from the original 1988 master tapes. The score has been re-mastered for vinyl and housed within deluxe packaging including 180 gram “Chucky” colored vinyl, new artwork by Phantom City Creative, and old style tip-on gatefold jackets with satin coating.

Pet Sematary (2019)

Waxwork Records is proud to present PET SEMATARY Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Christopher Young. Composed by Christopher Young (A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, Hellraiser, Drag Me To Hell), the music of Pet Sematary is dark, dissonant, and synth driven to create an atmosphere of dread and grief that spirals violently out of control. Young sonically captures the ominous supernatural element of the film and its story with his decades long experience of expertly scoring some of the most notable and beloved horror movies, ever.

Waxwork Records is thrilled to present the original soundtrack to Pet Sematary as a deluxe double LP featuring 180 Gram “Church” colored vinyl, new artwork by Christopher Shy, composer liner notes, old-style gatefold jackets, and printed inserts.

The Lighthouse

In partnership with our friends at Sacred Bones Records, we are proud to announce our exclusive and limited edition variant of THE LIGHTHOUSE Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Mark Korven!

Mark Korven's original soundtrack for The Lighthouse, starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe, marks his second collaboration with director Robert Eggers (The Witch). “Robert [Eggers] and I were rather like the two wickies that went insane in The Lighthouse, musically speaking. We travelled to some very dark harmonic and textural places. We both enjoy not just breaking the rules, but blowing them to smithereens. The spirit of experimentation was always present.”

Available on clear vinyl and housed in a deluxe die-cut jacket with the light of the lighthouse cut out; shine a beam through and see the enchantment in the light!

Us

Waxwork Records is proud to present the Us Original Motion Picture Soundtrack featuring a score by composer Michael Abels. Abels featured a 30 person choir, a third of them children, in the “Anthem,” and implemented Eastern European instruments, violins, percussion, and a virtual instrument called a Propanium drum. “It makes this trashy metal sound, but you can also play melodies on it,” Abels said. “The Propanium drum has a sound that’s both otherworldly but not electronic or like science fiction. It’s a sound you can’t quite put your finger on, which is why it works well in this film.”

Also included on the soundtrack is the 1995 hip-hop hit “I Got 5 On It” by Luniz and the stand-out track “I Like That” by Janelle Monáe. Abels also helped with a new arrangement of the Luniz hit, which is featured on the soundtrack as the ‘Tethered Mix from Us’.

Waxwork is thrilled to present the soundtrack and score as a deluxe double LP featuring 180-gram "Metallic Brass Scissors” colored vinyl for disc one, and “Tethered Red Jumpsuit” colored vinyl for disc two. The album artwork was created by illustrator Edward Kinsella. The interactive packaging includes die-cut inner gatefold jackets that require customers to use scissors to cut through family-member portraits to reveal their tethered doppelgängers lurking in the shadows on the printed inner sleeves housed within. More deluxe items include a die-cut mirror board back cover, a heavyweight 11”x11” art print, and an exclusive essay by UCLA Professor, scholar, and activist Shana L. Redmond Ph.D., author of Anthem: Social Movements and the Sound of Solidarity in the African Diaspora.

Child’s Play (2019)

Waxwork Records is thrilled to release CHILD’S PLAY (2019) Original Motion Picture Soundtrack! Featuring music by EMMY® and BAFTA Award winning composer Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, TV’s The Walking Dead) in a special deluxe double LP vinyl edition. Composer Bear McCreary’s music of CHILD’S PLAY is carried out with his assembly of a “toy orchestra”. McCreary uses his own voice to create an ominous “kids choir” and collaborates closely with legendary actor Mark Hamill who sings the track for the film, “The Buddi Song”. Inspired by Chucky’s toy origins, McCreary challenges himself by composing a score solely with toys and handheld instruments, completely avoiding traditional orchestra. Toy pianos, slinkies, xylophones, rattles, ukuleles, accordions, kazoos, hurdy gurdies, and more are married with a variety of synthesizers, percussion, violin, viola, cello, and bass to create a wholly original, terrifying, and dynamic score.

Album features include the complete film music by Bear McCreary, double 180 gram “Chucky’s Eyes” colored vinyl (Blue and Red), artwork by Phantom City Creative, composer liner notes, a 12”x12” insert, and deluxe packaging.

Bride of Re-Animator

Waxwork Records is proud to present BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Richard BandBride Of Re-Animator is the 1990 sequel to the 1985 classic B-Movie Horror fan favorite, H.P. LOVECRAFT'S RE-ANIMATOR. Reprising their roles as Dr. Herbert West and Dr. Dan CainJeffrey Combs and Bruce Abbott play two doctors that experiment on body parts to re-animate dead tissue.

The soundtrack by Richard Band is the perfect companion to Waxwork's 2013 debut soundtrack release of H.P. Lovecraft's Re-Animator. Featuring Band's signature synth and orchestral melding and creepy, yet whimsical scoring style, Bride Of Re-Animator spans two 180 gram "Re-Agent" colored LP's housed within deluxe packaging and featuring all new art by prominent French fine artist, Jérémy Pailler!

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Godzilla: King of the Monsters Original Motion Picture Soundtrack! Featuring music by Emmy® and BAFTA Award winning composer Bear McCreary (10 Cloverfield Lane, TV’s The Walking Dead), in two special deluxe triple LP vinyl configurations. Composer Bear McCreary’s (10 Cloverfield Lane, Happy Death Day, and TV’s The Walking Dead) music is a two-year-long labor of love dubbed a “Monster Opera” by director Michael Dougherty, and a crucial element to the film. Each “kaiju” is given a voice in this epic opera - Godzilla is presented with heroic, guttural vocalizations. King Ghidorah presented with dark, hypnotic chanting. Mothra by way of an ethereal female choir. Rodan’s voice is achieved by orchestral French horns pushed to their very limit to “scream” ripping roars.

Incorporated and adapted are both the legendary Godzilla theme by Akira Ifukube, and the immortal “Mothra’s Song” by Yuji Koseki. Also included is the McCreary-adapted eternal classic “Godzilla” by Blue Öyster Cult, featuring Serj Tankian (System Of A Down) on lead vocals, and musicians Brendon Small, Bryan Beller, and Gene Hoglan who form the Dethklok rhythm section of from TV’s Metalocalypse.

Clocking in at 98 minutes of music, Waxwork is proud to present Godzilla: King of the Monsters as a deluxe triple LP set. Housed in a unique, rarely manufactured heavyweight triple-fold LP ‘monster’ pack, and featuring 180 “Kaiju” colored vinyl, liner notes by director Michael Dougherty and composer Bear McCreary, and artwork by Christopher Shy.

OTHER VINYL RELEASES:

Scrooged: Music from the Motion Picture

Enjoy The Ride Records and Paramount Pictures are proud to present the Danny Elfman score to Scrooged, available for the first time on vinyl. The iconic 80s holiday dramedy is based on the classic Charles Dickens novel, A Christmas Carol and is directed by Richard Donner (The Goonies, Lethal Weapon films, Tales From The Crypt), features Bill Murray, Bobcat Goldthwait, David Johansen, Carol Kane and a host of other Hollywood veterans. The score is a real treat to revisit, as you can hear many elements that would become the iconic Elfman sound in future projects, such as Batman, Batman Returns, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands and Tales From The Crypt. The score jumps all over, from cheery holiday tunes to dark and sinister sounds, perfectly capturing the story depicted in the film. This vinyl release is pressed on 140 gram colored vinyl, housed in a 350gsm jacket that features the iconic Bill Murray promo image and includes an insert, featuring credits and production shots. The album also contains bonus tracks and source cues for your listening pleasure.

Pumpkinhead: Original MGM Motion Picture Soundtrack

Pumpkinhead is a great example of the term, cult classic. In the world of film and television there are many such examples of cult classics. This film, originally released in 1988 by United Artists, was the directorial debut for Stan Winston, creature maker & special effects master extraordinaire. The film stars Lance Henriksen, John D'Aquino and Kerry Remsen. The movie is best summed up as a dark fairy tale of revenge and redemption. The score by Richard Stone is melodic and authentic, a mix of acoustic instruments and country rhythms. Stone went on to become what many called the heir to Carl Stalling. The world lost a true talent when Stone passed away in 2001 at the very young age of 47. Limited edition of 300 copies in transparent orange colored vinyl!

They Live: Original Soundtrack

A classic story of one man fighting for the freedom of the world with a great science-fiction twist. This movie is full of amazing dialogue and also contains the greatest fist fight in the history of cinema. Like most of Carpenter's films, THEY LIVE has an urban-western feel to it, which is emphasized by the infectious score. Celebrated designer and artist Alan Hynes has crafted a spectacular collectible package for the soundtrack befitting the film's theme of subliminal communication, utilizing the iconic sunglasses to reveal hidden messages as you pull the disc sleeve from the slip case. Carpenter and Howarth's main theme conjures up images of a lone cowboy entering town, with the main melody augmented with the sounds of harmonica and saxophone. There's a carefree attitude which reflects Rowdy Roddy Piper's character, but the score takes on a more sinister tone when he realizes he doesn't know anything about what's really going on. Carpenter's signature synth tones create an uncomfortable atmosphere, but the main bassline is always fighting against them, never giving up. Electric guitar is used fleetingly, but brilliantly, and the whole score embodies the kind of rebelling against authority Carpenter is famous for. THEY LIVE will rock your world without the need for a Brazilian plastic surgeon to put you back together again.

Blacula: Music from the Original Soundtrack

Limited 180gm audiophile vinyl LP pressing. Special spot-varnish on jacket. Blacula is a 1972 American blaxploitation horror film directed by William Crain. The movie stars William Marshall in the title role about an 18th century African prince named Mamuwalde, who is turned into a vampire (and later locked in a coffin) by Count Dracula in the Count's castle in Transylvania after Dracula refused to help Mamuwalde suppress the slave trade. Two centuries later, in the year 1972, two interior decorators from modern-day Los Angeles California travel to Castle Dracula in Transylvania and unknowingly purchase the now-undead Mamuwalde's coffin. Later unlocking the coffin, the decorators release Mamuwalde, becoming his first two victims as a vampire, turning them and others he encounters in his bloodthirsty reign of terror into vampires like himself. The music for Blacula is unlike that of most horror films as it uses rhythm and blues as opposed to haunting classical music. The film's soundtrack features a score by Gene Page, who worked closely with Whitney Houston, Jefferson Starship, The Righteous Brothers, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Buffalo Springfield, and many more. The soundtrack includes contributions by the Hues Corporation, famous for their hit 'Rock The Boat' and 21st Century Ltd.

Stranger Things 3: Original Score From The Netflix Original Series

It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear. GRAMMY Nominated and EMMY Winning composers Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein's score to 'Stranger Things' is perhaps the show’s secret ingredient. A mixture of icy new-wave hooks, spooky ambient textures and menacing drones which bring a spine-tingling ambience and a hauntingly beautiful nostalgia all at once. 2 x LP Pressed on 2 x Neon Pink vinyl.

Heathers: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

30th anniversary release of the cult classic film comes pressed on very neon green vinyl and housed in a full color inner sleeve covered in original photos and new notes. The story about a clique of high school girls and a psychopathic new student has turned into a theatrical phenomenon in recent years on both Broadway and London’s West End as a musical. A TV show based on the movie debuted last year on the Paramount Network. The original LP has long been in demand. Of course, it’s so very!

Midsommar: Original Soundtrack

For scoring duties on 'Midsommar', Ari Aster selected British composer Bobby Krlic (also known by his stage name The Haxan Cloak). Best known for his dark and spooky instrumentals, Krlic has delivered a masterwork of tense, atmospheric pieces and beautiful orchestral movements. The compositions weave expertly with the looming threats clad in the daylight of Scandinavian countryside. Music is an essential element of the film's atmosphere and will stay with viewers long after the film has ended.

House of Wax: Music from the Motion Picture

The album featured hard rock, alternative and metal bands of the mid-2000s including THE PRODIGY, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, DEFTONES, DISTURBED, MARILYN MANSON and others, as well as older tracks from JOY DIVISION and THE STOOGES.

Dellamorte Dellamore/Cemetery Man Original Soundtrack

The film was based on a 1991 novel by Tiziano Sclavi. Sclavi is also the author of the comic Dylan Dog. De Sica nails the tone of the film, allowing the music to somehow walk the line of sinister and mundane without coming off as forced. Dark atmospheres with electronic grooves and dark jazz tapestries. Limited Purple Vinyl Plus Gatefold poster with Comics drawings by Simona Simone

Prince of Darkness: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Limited white vinyl LP pressing. Prince of Darkness is a soundtrack by John Carpenter for the film of the same name. Prince of Darkness is a 1987 American supernatural horror film directed, written and scored by John Carpenter. The film is the second installment in what Carpenter calls his Apocalypse Trilogy, which began with The Thing (1982) and concludes with In the Mouth of Madness (1995).
