Last month, we had the great pleasure of exclusively revealing Francesco Francavilla's variant cover for Archie Comics' The Return of Chilling Adventures in Sorcery, and as the spooky season creeps ever closer, we're now excited to exclusively debut Vincenzo Federici's interior penciled pages from The Return of Chilling Adventures in Sorcery (featuring Madam Satan getting up to macabre mischief on the mortal plane now that she's escaped Hell), along with development art by Vincenzo Federici, Liana Kangas, and Corin Howell!

Here's what Vincenzo had to say about bringing Madam Satan to life:

"Working on Madam Satan adventures is an incredible visual experience. First of all, it's amazing to have the opportunity to draw such great characters from both Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, since my wife and I are fans of the TV shows. My approach is to be respectful of the character design by giving them my personal touch."

Writer Eliot Rahal shared his thoughts on writing the sequence for Vincenzo's penciled interior pages:

“My entire goal was to create a framework of rage. The original MADAM SATAN one-shot was driven a lot by contempt. Same with her appearance in last year’s SORCERY anthology. Madam Satan has been through so much. She’s literally travelled through Hell, yet she keeps getting denied happiness. I wanted that frustration to be showcased here while at the same time lending itself to a framework that would allow the other stories to shine. I just wanted to dig deep into that dark divine feminine energy, which is so much fun to get lost in.”

Artist Liana Kangas also discussed her excitement on working on The Return of Chilling Adventures in Sorcery:

"The horror line of Archie Comics is among my favorite of ALL horror comics, so getting the opportunity to completely redesign (our Hot Topic ‘00s era queen) Shrill, was a BLAST and an honor (as a previous teen goth myself).”

“Working with the folks at Archie and Casey Gilly to collaborate on a fresh new take while incorporating our own personal touches was really important. A lot went into it; retaining some key elements of her initial designs so she's recognizable for fans while giving it an even edgier, casual look that you could easily cosplay and I can have fun drawing, as well!”

“Casey has something fun and spooky cooked up, (with another very fan-favorite character) so you won't want to miss picking up this one-shot!"

And here's what Archie Comics Art Director Vincent Lovallo had to say about the talented team behind this Archie Horror anthology:

“It's very appropriate that this anthology is timed to Halloween since every day I receive artwork from the team is a such a treat! Working with Vincenzo, Liana, and Corin has been such a pleasure. Each brings their own personal flare to the Archie and Sabrina cast while staying true to the core of the characters.”

“It will always amaze me how well this team is able to illustrate the characters in so many different lights and it's that range of emotions and compositions that bring the story to life. I'd like to share more, but the things I really want to talk about are spoiler territory!”

The Return of Chilling Adventures in Sorcery will be released on October 26th (just in time for Halloween)! You can check out the interior penciled pages and development art below, and to learn more about all of the great releases coming from Archie Comics, be sure to visit their official website:
