"Master of Horror Cullen Bunn and artist Fico Ossio reunite to present a chilling new vision of modern terror…the Homeowner’s Association!"

We're excited to bring Daily Dead readers the exclusive first details on Cult-de-Sac! The title alone was enough to sell me on this comic book series being an instant pickup, but knowing that Cullen Bunn and Fico Ossio are behind it has me even more excited for the horrors of homeownership. Published by Ignition Press, this limited series kicks off on August 12th, and we have all the details, along with a look at the first issue covers:

From the Press Release: Welcome to the neighborhood, where there are great schools, quiet streets, and unspeakable evil! Master of horror Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, Ripcord) and artist Fico Ossio (Kill All Immortals) reunite to present a chilling new vision of modern terror in their new series, Cult-de-Sac! Ignition Press will begin publishing the new occult limited series August 12th, 2026.

“If you’ve ever lived in a neighborhood with a Homeowner’s Association, you probably think that the HOA board is comprised of self-important busybodies who have nothing better to do than bug the Hell out of you,” said writer Cullen Bunn. “Either that or you think they are full-blown demon worshippers. Well, in Cult-de-Sac, you’d be right on both counts. This book features a young family who moves into a lovely neighborhood…only to discover that the HOA is a demonic cult hellbent on sacrificing them. What can I say? I write what I know.”

“What immediately pulled me into Cult-de-Sac was its atmosphere. There’s horror, mystery, strange imagery, and this constant feeling that things are becoming more unsettling with every page. As an artist, that gives you a lot to play with. I hope readers get absorbed into the world and enjoy uncovering its mysteries the same way we did while making it,” added artist Fico Ossio. “Cult-de-Sac starts with familiar fears and slowly turns them into something much stranger. It’s creepy, emotional, mysterious, and constantly escalating in ways I think readers won’t see coming. It’s the kind of story that keeps revealing new layers the deeper you go.”

The Hanson family just moved into a new home, and they’re ready to make it all their own. Or so they thought… because in this neighborhood, you don’t want to find yourself on the HOA’s bad side.

Unexplainable and terrifying things happen to those who break the rules, and the Hanson family is about to find out what happens when evil hits close to home in Cult-de-Sac!

Master of Horror, Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, Ripcord) and artist Fico Ossio (Kill All Immortals) reunite to present a chilling new vision of modern terror…the Homeowner’s Association!

“Nothing is quite as terrifying as the horrors that exist close to home,” Jamie S. Rich, Editor-in Chief of Ignition Press said. “We like to believe we are safe and sound when in our own abode, but there is always a mystery about what is really going on in the house next door. Great horror stories have mined this in the past. There’s a suspicion that the suburbs are never quite what they outwardly present. Cullen Bunn taps into this paranoia and then ratchets it up to maximum effect. Cult-de-Sac is creepy fun!”

Cult-de-Sac #1 will be available in comic shops starting on August 12th. Written by Cullen Bunn with art by Fico Ossio, the series features colors by Ulises Arreola and letters by AndWorld Design. When it comes to cover options, the first issue features: "two open-to-order covers from Ossio and Arreola and Ebrahel Lurci (Murder Podcast), along with a retailer incentive cover by Aneke and Patricia Martín (Ripcord) and an Ignition Exclusive variant by Philip Tan (Spawn, Uncanny X-Men)."

To guarantee a copy, you can pre-order at your local comic shop. Note that the pre-order deadline (FOC) is Monday, July 7th. To find a comic store near you, visit findyourcomic.store.
