After directing Hush and Gerald's Game for Netflix, filmmaker Mike Flanagan returned to the streaming service last fall with a "modern reimagining" of Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House, and today a follow-up to the supernatural hit was announced, although this time the haunting will happen at a different location and will be based on a different work of influential literature. 

Announced in a new video (see below) revealed on Twitter, the follow-up to The Haunting of Hill House will premiere on Netflix in 2020. It looks like Mike Flanagan will once again be at the helm of the new installment, which will be titled The Haunting of Bly Manor, based on Henry James' novella The Turn of the Screw. The next installment of Flanagan and Trevor Macy's series is expected to feature a new location and new characters.
