One of my favorite horror films of 2016 is Justin M. Seaman's nostalgic time warp back to Halloween night in 1989, The Barn. Although the film has been released on Blu-ray and DVD, Terror Films is bringing The Barn to digital platforms on July 27th, giving you plenty of time to add it to your Halloween movie marathons:

Press Release: LOS ANGELES, CA (July 20th, 2018) - Terror Films is kicking off the summer with one of their most anticipated horror films THE BARN! Celebrated by The Horror Society Awards with an award in 2016, THE BARN will be available on major Digital platforms this July 27th.

THE BARN has racked up multiple awards across 38 film festivals. Awards include: Best Old School Horror (Fright Night Film Fest), Best Cinematography (Crimson Screen Horror Film), Best Special Make-Up FX (Hexploitation Film Fest), the Audience Choice Award at Nevermore Film Festival and many more!

The film takes place on Halloween night, in 1989. Best friends Sam (Mitchell Musolino) and Josh (Will Stout) are trying to enjoy what's left of their final 'Devil's Night' before graduating from high school. However, trouble arises when the two pals and a group of friends take a detour on their way to a rock concert. They find an old abandoned barn and awaken the evil that lurks inside. Now it's up to Sam and Josh to find a way to protect their friends and defeat the creatures that lurk within "The Barn."

THE BARN hosts a talented team of actors. The cast also includes: Lexi Dripps, Cortland Woodard, Nikki Darling, Nickoluas Joshua and Scream Queen Linnea Quigley (Night of the Demons, The Return of the Living Dead). Ari Lehman, who played the first Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th, also stars as Dr Rock.

Terror Films is set to release THE BARN in North America on July 27th. The Digital release will take place on: Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, Vudu, Tubi TV and Roku. Be sure to check out the official poster and trailer right here!

Raised on a steady diet of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps books and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Derek has been fascinated with fear since he first saw ForeverWare being used on an episode of Eerie, Indiana.

When he’s not writing about horror as the Senior News Reporter for Daily Dead, Derek can be found daydreaming about the Santa Carla Boardwalk from The Lost Boys or reading Stephen King and Brian Keene novels.
