Hatchet 3 Announced

Thanks to strong DVD and video on demand sales, Dark Sky Films announced today that fans will be getting a third Hatchet film:

(Hatchet 2 Spoiler Warning) "Third installment will continue the horrific saga of Victor Crowley, known as the 'Bayou Butcher,' and pick up where 'Hatchet 2' left off, with a young woman (Danielle Harris) getting revenge on the malevolent monster who killed her friends while they vacationed in Louisiana swamp country."

While the director and cast details have not been released, it is possible that Hatchet and Hatchet 2 director Adam Green may only serve in a producing capacity. However, he does mention to Variety that he had a storyline idea for Hatchet 3 even before shooting the second film. For more information, click on the source link below.
