Hoax Hunters Movie in Development

Daily Dead readers should be familiar with Hoax Hunters, as we regularly feature the Image Comics series. The series launched last July, and deals with a group that claims to disprove myths and monsters on TV, when their actual goal is to cover them up:

“Cryptids. Aliens. Monsters. All the world’s bizarre secrets–what if they were real? Their existence would be debunked by a reality TV show! HOAX HUNTERS is that show, publicly disproving all variety of lore. But their real goal is the opposite: as the world’s dark corners surface, the HOAX HUNTERS cover them up. They demonstrate that the truth isn’t out there.”

According to THR, producer Jeff Krelitz optioned screen rights, and is currently searching for a write to tackle the script. There's no word on how series creators Michael Moreci and Steve Seeley will be involved, but it's a good bet that they'll have a say in the creative process.
