Frontières at Fantasia 2019 Lineup Released: "After a highly successful Frontières Platform at the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, Frontières returns to the Fantasia International Film Festival for the 11th edition of its co-production market, which will take place July 18-21 in Montreal.

Frontières is pleased to announce its complete Official Selection line-up of 20 international genre projects in advanced development & early financing. For the first time, the Frontières selection includes projects from Japan & Lebanon, with new projects from directors Satoshi Miki (IT’S ME, IT’S ME & ADRIFT IN TOKYO), Jennifer Reeder (KNIVES & SKIN), Ian Lagarde (ALL YOU CAN EAT BOUDDHA) and producers Colonelle Films (A COLONY), and Love & Death Productions (THE ENDLESS), among others.

Additional featured programming includes, for the first time, the Shorts to Features Pitch Session, a spotlight on Canadian short filmmakers developing their feature-length adaptations. Returning for the third year, the Created by Women Pitch Session, presented by Telefilm Canada with Women in Film + Television Vancouver, will include 4 first feature projects pitched by up and coming female screenwriters & directors from across Canada.

Frontières alumni projects include RAW, LES AFFAMÉS, GHOST TOWN ANTHOLOGY, TURBO KID, THE RANGER and this year’s VIVARIUM, EXTRAORDINARY, JESUS SHOWS YOU THE WAY TO THE HIGHWAY and RIOT GIRLS.

Composer Chris Burke helped create the sound of '80s horror, scoring and contributing music to such films as "Splatter University" (1984), "The Toxic Avenger" (1984), "Blue Vengeance" (1991), "The Refrigerator" (1991) and many others. In addition, he worked on set with some of the most creative talents in contemporary film and theater, including directors Robert Altman, Lucio Fulci, Enzo Castellari, Peter Sellars and more.

In 2016, Chris released a compilation of his film score work entitled "Confessions Of An 80s Low Budget Horror Film Composer" and followed that up in 2017 with the all-new music release "Tomb Box". 2019 saw the release of his 1984 score to "Splatter University" on Terror Vision Records.

Chris has nine music releases to date, ranging from the experimental "Idioglossia" (Mode Avant, 1990) to his electronic band Glorified Magnified's "All Wave Super" (Sire/Warner, 1994), through his releases as "glomag" by 8BitPeoples and Astralwerks. His "Pocket Calculator" remix of the Kraftwerk original rose to number 17 on the Billboard Magazine Hot Dance Music Singles chart in 2007. He has performed all over Europe, Australia, the US, and Canada.

From his home base in Brooklyn, NY, he scores films, creates sound design, performs and speaks at festivals and other events.

Too Late Casting and Production Details: "Firemark Media announced today that Ron Lynch (“Bob’s Burgers”), Mary Lynn Rajskub (“24”), Alyssa Limperis (“Comedy Bang Bang”), Jenny Zigrino (BAS SANTA TWO),Will Weldon (“This is Not Happening”) and Brooks Wheelan (“Saturday Night Live”) have been cast alongside Fred Armisen in the upcoming horror/comedy TOO LATE, directed by D.W. Thomas. Based on a script by Tom Becker, the film will be produced by Ryan Lacen and Anthony Baldino and will be executive produced by Lonnie Ramati. Jack De Sena (“Chris & Jack”), Billy Breed (“GREEN BOOK”), Paul Danke (“The Comedy Garage”) and Dwayne Perkins (“Funny You Should Ask”) round out the cast. Jessica Sherman (“The Strain,” “Bates Motel” and Oscar-winning short Skin) is set as casting director. Shooting on the film that revolves around the LA underground comedy scene is set for later this month in Los Angeles.

TOO LATE is the story of a lonely assistant who finally finds love and must escape her monster of a boss before she and her new love become his next meal.

Lynch, who will play the lead ‘Bob Devore’ in the film, is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer who has appeared in a number of movies and television shows, including the Comedy Central Show “Corporate,” “Corpse Tub,” Comedy Central’s “Another Period,” “Dope State,” IFC’s “Comedy Bang! Bang!,” and “Portlandia,” and Fox’s “Bob’s Burgers.”

Rajskub is best known for the role of Chloe O’Brien on Fox’s “24.” She has also recently appeared in the hit Universal comedy NIGHT SCHOOL opposite Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish, and on the shows “Now Apocalypse,” “Hawaii Five-O” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” She will next be seen in the independent features DINNER IN AMERICA and A WORLD AWAY.
