Chuck Hank and the San Diego Twins Teaser Trailer: Press Release: "Los Angeles, CA: (January 20, 2017) Today, Coatwolf Productions, released the first teaser trailer for their new film Chuck Hank and the San Diego Twins. The much-anticipated follow-up from the creators of the Sundance hit Bellflower is inspired by side-scrolling video games and 1980’s style action films.
The film is written and helmed by first-time director, Jonathan Keevil and is the sophomore project from Coatwolf founder Evan Glodell who is producing the project and also playing the title character of ChuckHank. In addition to Glodell, the film also stars Keevil and Bellflower co-star Tyler Dawson who play the San Diego Twins. Rounding out the cast is David Arquette (Scream), Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars), Michael Pare (Streets of Fire), Olivia Taylor Dudley (The Magicians) and legendary MMA fighters Don Frye and Josh Barnett.
“Like many of our generation, we spent so much of our childhood playing these side-scrolling, beat-em-up video games that they shaped a huge part of our reality,” says Glodell. “And I think the entire team have created a truly insane film that brings that reality to life”
“We set out to recreate and pay homage to iconic sequences from fighting video games from the 1980s and 1990s but we wanted to also tell a compelling story about brotherhood and family,” said Jonathan Keevil. “Through a lot of blood, sweat, and tears we were able to create exactly that.”
Shot on location in Ventura, CA by Independent Spirit Award nominated cinematographer, Joel Hodge. Production of the film was jump started by a successful Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign. The Coatwolf team, who are known for their practical, hands-on approach to filmmaking, continued their DIY mantra in their new film. The team designed and created a number of their own special effects, pyrotechnics and custom vehicles. The lead actors also completed nearly all of their own stunts.
Producing the film for Coatwolf are Evan Glodell, Chelsea St John, Jonathan Keevil and Vincent Grashaw along with Gabriel Cowen and John Suits from New Artists Alliance. Additional producers include Dallas Sonnier, under his new banner Cinestate, and Jack Heller of Assemble Media. The film will be released this summer with final details to be announced soon.

Legion, the highly-anticipated new drama series from Noah Hawley, will premiere on FX on Wednesday, February 8 at 10 PM ET/PT. Hawley serves as Executive Producer, along with Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory and John Cameron. Legion is the latest project from Hawley and Cameron, two of the executive producers of the Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning FX limited series Fargo.
Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens), a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David’s routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which David must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees may actually be real.
A haunted man, David escapes from the hospital and seeks shelter with his sister Amy (Katie Aselton). But Amy’s concern for her brother is trumped by her desire to protect the picture-perfect suburban life she’s built for herself. Eventually, Syd guides David to Melanie Bird (Jean Smart), a nurturing but demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods. She and her team of specialists – Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris), Kerry (Amber Midthunder) and Cary (Bill Irwin) – open David’s eyes to an extraordinary new world of possibilities.
Legion is produced by FX Productions and Marvel Television, with FXP handling the physical production."

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.
The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
