GROUPCHAT is Now Available: "FOUND TV is bringing a new game night to the screen this October. Award-winning British horror film GROUPCHAT will premiere Friday, October 2, 2026, exclusively on FOUND TV.

Written and directed by Dan Brownlie and produced by Mel Morley, GROUPCHAT follows a group of friends reuniting online after a lengthy absence from their games master, Dean. The plan is to jump back into their role-playing game, Necromancer. But Dean’s newly created campaign quickly becomes far more real than anyone expected.

The screenlife horror stars Marcel Jortzik, Amy Tara, Toby Wynn-Davies, Georgie Rodgers, James Grimm and horror veteran Debbie Rochon.

Shot using five cameras simultaneously, GROUPCHAT keeps its characters isolated in separate locations on screen while the actors were actually filming together, allowing the story to unfold in real time across their webcams.

The film made its U.S. premiere on October 2, 2025 at the Halloween International Film Festival, where it won Best International Film (where it picked up 4 more awards). Its festival run also included the British Horror Film Festival, Black Sunday Film Festival and the Unnamed Footage Festival.

'Screenlife is such an important part of where found footage has gone as a genre and exploring integrating different styles of media, and we’re excited to have this one exclusively on FOUND.' said Louie La Vella, co-founder of FOUND TV.

Exactly one year after its American premiere, GROUPCHAT arrives as a FOUND Exclusive on Friday, October 2, 2026."

Synopsis: "After months of absence, Games Master Dean has come back with a brand-new online campaign. Full of twists, turns, adventure and a few special ingredients to make the gameplay more immersive. He has invited his usual crew of Rob (character name Poxxus the Vile), Marcus (character name Thorthog the Mad, half orc) and Laurie (Deloris Ironjaw the adventurer). Dean’s right-hand man can’t make it this time so there is a last-minute stand in. Cassie (character name Belualith the Conjurer).

Though Cassie is new to the game she has a in-depth knowledge of witchcraft as she is a practicing witch. As the game starts and the dice start to roll, not everything is at it seems. Dean is not himself as he reveals that his absence has been to his grieving of the loss of his dad, his behaviour is put down to grief, but Cassie is not so sure. As spells are cast, and the action become a bit more real, what started as a fun game to deal with grief and reunite with friends, turns into a bloody fight for survival.

Who will survive, and what will be left of them? In this online game of witches, orcs, the undead and betrayal."
