TUJUH BIDADARI aka SEVEN ANGELS: "Film Regions International (FRI) has announced that it has secured U.S. distribution rights on the Indonesian horror film “Tujuh Bidadari” (English Title: “Seven Angels”) which will be available on certain VOD platforms. This is the second horror film out of Indonesia that FRI has licensed on VOD after last year’s zombie apocalypse film “Zeta”. FRI co-chairman and chief executive officer John R. Blythe commented that “there is audience in America that appreciates foreign horror films, specifically from Asia and many we have looked at, including this one, are of high production quality.”

“Tujuh Bidadari” had been distributed in 2019 in select Asian territories, while FRI had licensed video-on-demand rights in other English-speaking territories. The film was directed and co-written by Muhammad Yusuf about an all-girl band from Indonesia known as the Seven Angels that travel to Australia only to be unwittingly lured as human sacrifices to bring back an ancient demon. The film was shot at the legendary and supposedly haunted Aradale Lunatic Asylum in Victoria Australia.

“Tujuh Bidadari” is scheduled to hit Vimeo on Demand on July 16th with other VOD platforms to follow in the future."
