Short Film Based on Crypt TV and Movie Pilot's Contest Winner: LOS ANGELES, Calif. (September 6, 2016) – Today Movie Pilot and Crypt TV released “Two On The Run,” the short film based on the winning submission of the “One Sentence Scare” fan competition, which was hosted on Moviepilot.com. Fans across the globe were invited to submit their best “One Sentence Scare”, and out of thousands of entries, 18-year-old Solon Papageorgiou from Greece was selected as the winner with the line, “I didn’t have to outrun the serial killer; I just had to outrun my friend running beside me.”

Produced by Crypt TV, the short film premiered last Friday, September 2, during a joint celebration between Movie Pilot and Crypt TV. The finished short film is shared both on Crypt TV’s Facebook channel and Movie Pilot’s Horror Channel on Facebook, a network of more than 6 million collective fans. This was the first official contest collaboration between the two new media companies. In combining creative and distribution forces, Movie Pilot and Crypt TV hope to continue the trend of fan-centric approaches to horror content, inviting storytellers across the globe to infuse the genre with new millennial voices.

“We are incredibly proud to have been able to work with Crypt TV and the fan community on this exciting project,” stated Jon Handschin, co-founder and CCO of Movie Pilot. “Solon Papageorgiou’s sentence resonated with our global audiences, and the finished short fits well into Movie Pilot’s wheelhouse of strong fan-produced horror content.”

Movie Pilot is one of the biggest entertainment publishers in the US and has become a forerunner in live social-video broadcasts in the movie and gaming world through its distribution to a network of over 32 million Facebook fans. As a moderated open-posting platform offering fans a voice and mass distribution, Movie Pilot has also become a leader in the influencer marketing space, partnering with top movie studios to connect passionate fans with the content they love most.

“CryptTV prides itself on bringing original, short scares to horror fans everyday so to be able to partner with MoviePilot and their rabid community of written creators to bring a fans one sentence scare to life was a pleasure. The fact that the winning one sentence scare came from Solon, all the way from Greece, shows how powerful the love of horror is on a global scale.”

Co-founded by CEO Jack Davis and Eli Roth and with a strategic partnership with Blumhouse Productions, Crypt TV is a digital brand that produces dark and edgy content. They work with young filmmakers to create shorts, shows, and original series. Crypt TV is fundamentally changing the way fans consume and celebrate genre content -- in short form, on mobile, every day. Since their launch over one year ago, they have produced and released hundreds of genre shorts across social and built a substantial Facebook following, nearing 1.5 million fans. That social-first, fan-centric approach brought Crypt TV and Movie Pilot together for this collaborative competition.

Death House Trailer: Gunnar Hansen's final wish was to get Death House made, and Entertainment Factory's Rick Finkelstein and Steven Chase did it; featuring the largest collection of horror names in a single film. With an 80s horror tone, the film is a horror time capsule with both its stars and the the history of the genre. The film is not a mashup of these actor's onscreen personas. Rather it is a fresh horror/sci fi/action story that dares to be different and give audiences something new in an age of reboots, remakes and regurgitation. The film is in post production with a soon to be announced release date. Follow on Twitter and Instagram at @DeathHouseMovie and Facebook at
