The Game Theatre's The Cursed Castle: "The Game Theatre produces social adventures mixing roleplay and interactive theatre. Since 2013 their designs have been at the forefront of immersive gaming, which includes full weekend Live Action Roleplay (Larp) adventures that are similar to the large European “Blockbuster Larps”. The company’s next experience, ‘The Cursed Castle’, is an all-inclusive Larp destination vacation. It will also be the first-ever officially licensed ‘College of Wizardry’ expansion event in the United States. College of Wizardry (created by Dziobak Larp Studios in Europe), is the world’s most renowned magic inspired Larp. The Cursed Castle will expand upon College of Wizardry with an all-new adventure based on the fictional works of wizardry everyone knows and loves.

“When looking at partners for piloting College of Wizardry in the US, The Game Theatre was the first choice. We are super excited for them to join the family,” says DSL Founder Claus Raasted.

The Game Theatre’s past Blockbuster Larp event was the successful three-weekend run of ‘Dragon Thrones’. Now, the company will host The Cursed Castle at one of its most beautiful and thematic locations, Grey Towers Castle, which stands at Arcadia University minutes from Philadelphia, PA. The event will run from January 3rd - 6th, 2019, with players from around the world expected to attend this epic magical challenge. Grey Towers is close to all transportation, including a major international airport. Tickets are limited.

“The Cursed Castle will tell a grand story that participants can dive into so they become an agent of magic. The experience reveals what can be expected by those who have graduated a wizardry college, as well as those gifted with magic”, says Evan Michaels, co-founder of The Game Theatre, “College of Wizardry has been a global Larp success about what it’s like to study magic. The Cursed Castle is the next step, asking how someone trained in magic can now help save the world.”

About the Author - Tamika Jones

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
