Press Release: A live reading of the cult horror film classic “House on Haunted Hill” has been announced for two performances only on Friday, October 5, and Saturday, October 6, at the Cavern Club Celebrity Theater inside Casita Del Campo Restaurant in Silver Lake. The curtain will rise at 9pm for both performances.

Conceived by Michael Varrati and Matthew Herrmann, “House on Haunted Hill” will feature the talents of (in alphabetical order) drag favorite Roz Drezfalez, Drew Droege (Bright Colors, Bold Patterns; Romantic Encounters; Crowned; Go-Go Boy Interrupted), Barrett Foa (Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Mamma Mia!, NCIS Los Angeles), Sam Pancake (Arrested Development, Gilmore Girls, Transparent), Mitch Silpa (The Rerun Show, Bridesmaids, In Plain Sight), Lynne Stewart (Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, M*A*S*H, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and Molly Tarlov (Awkward, Simply Irresistible, G.B.F.).

Eccentric millionaire Frederick Loren and his fourth wife Annabelle have invited five people to their home for a “haunted house” party. Anyone that stays in the house for one night will win $10,000. As the night progresses, all of the guests are trapped inside as they encounter ghosts, murderers, and other horrors not fit for print.

Admission is $30 in advance and $35 at the door (subject to availability). Tickets may be purchased online at www.cavernclubtheater.comwww.brownpapertickets.com, or by phone at (800) 838-3006. About the Author - Tamika Jones

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
