The Divine Tragedies Casting Details: "The Divine Tragedies, based loosely on the famous Leopold and Loeb murder case, tells the tale of Charles Brubaker (Graham Denman, The Haunting of Whaley House) and his half-brother Thomas Lo Bianco (Jon Kondelik, Airplane Vs. Volcano), who concoct a deadly game to test their superior intelligence against the dimwitted masses. This game will eventually lead to murder. And when Genevieve, a beautiful single mother, enters their lives they finally find the perfect girl for their first kill. But problems arise when they quickly discover that Detective Homer Gaul (Ken Foree), a cop with a very special gift, is hot on their trail.

Writer/Director Jose Prendes (The Haunting of Whaley House) and producers Jon and James Kondelik are excited to welcome the badass Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead, Lords of Salem) to the cast of their new film.

Filming begins at the end of February."

Rage Trailer Released: "Rage tells the story of family man Dennis Twist, a suburban 30-something, who on his day off from work heads downtown where he unintentionally provokes the wrath of a mysterious and homicidal motorcycle rider called “The Biker”. The confrontation between the two escalates into a daylong battle, where Dennis must fight for his very life, just to survive through the day.

Described as a modern version of Stephen Speilberg’s cult classic Duel - Rage is a taut cat and mouse thriller which leads to gruesome consequences.

Braineater Jones Cover Art and Details: "Braineater Jones wakes up face down in a swimming pool with no memory of his former life, how he died, or why he’s now a zombie. With a smart-aleck severed head as a partner, Jones descends into the undead ghetto to solve his own murder.

But Jones’s investigation is complicated by his crippling addiction to human flesh. Like all walking corpses, he discovers that only a stiff drink can soothe his cravings. Unfortunately, finding liquor during Prohibition is costly and dangerous. From his Mason jar, the cantankerous Old Man rules the only speakeasy in the city that caters to the postmortem crowd.

As the booze, blood, and clues coagulate, Jones gets closer to discovering the identity of his killer and the secrets behind the city’s stranglehold on liquid spirits. Death couldn’t stop him, but if the liquor dries up, the entire city will be plunged into an orgy of cannibalism.

Cracking this case is a tall order. Braineater Jones won’t get out alive, but if he plays his cards right, he might manage to salvage the last scraps of his humanity."

Indie Spotlight Impressions: Unidentified

by Kristian Hanson

Jason Miller is an individual who has worked on a number of horror movies over the last few years, including worked on movies such as Frozen, Hatchet II, and Chillerama. His directorial debut is finally coming out on home video and it is called Unidentified.

The film tells the story of a group of friends going to Las Vegas where one of them will be playing in a high stakes poker game. Oh, and the entire process is being recorded for a YouTube channel. If you are a fan of Ariescope you will notice some familiar faces like Parry Shen (Hatchet I-III), David Foy (Hatchet II) and Colton Dunn (Hatchet II).

The film has a great amount of comedy and the acting is really well done. Also, once the close encounter occurs, the fun really does begin with one scene that literally made me scream GROSS!!!! Overall, it is a fun addition to the found footage genre and I cannot wait to see what Jason Miller will write and direct next.

Here's a look at the trailer and a clip we recently premiered on Daily Dead:

"During a wild weekend in Las Vegas, four young friends get into trouble with a loan shark and must skip town in a hurry. But gambling debts may be the least of their worries after they get stranded in the vast Nevada desert. One of the guys discovers a mysterious metal fragment and then promptly goes missing during the night. When the remaining three catch up with their lost friend, they notice something oddly different about him. As his condition worsens, the others realize that some unearthly being may be stalking them in the wilderness."
