Even some of the most infamous horror movie villains were raised by caring (sometimes maniacal) mothers, and to celebrate this year's Mother's Day, the Corpse Club discuss some of their favorite matriarchs of the genre on a new episode of Daily Dead's podcast.

From the blood-spattered shores of Crystal Lake to the strenuously strict atmosphere of Carrie White's household, we discuss mothers both maniacal and loving (and sometimes both) on a new Mother's Day episode of Corpse Club. Co-hosts Heather Wixson, Patrick Bromley, Scott Drebit, Derek Anderson, and Jonathan James gather around the microphones to pay tribute to some of their favorite (and least favorite) mothers in horror cinema, including Pamela Voorhees from Friday the 13th (1980), Margaret White from Carrie (1976), Mrs. Peltzer from Gremlins, and Norma Bates from Psycho (1960). So pick your favorite flowers, make a homemade card, and settle in for a special episode of the Corpse Club podcast... just make sure you don't do anything to upset mother!

You can listen to the 51st episode of Corpse Club right now on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Stitcher, TuneIn, and SoundCloud.
