Following last summer's announcement that Lucifer had been renewed for a fifth and final season by Netflix (who resurrected the show following its cancellation at FOX), the streaming service has now revealed that the first part of the final season will premiere on August 21st.

The premiere date was revealed in a video recapping the sexiest moments of the series, which you can watch below.

Part 1 of the final season is expected to include eight episodes, with the final eight episodes being released as Part 2 (which does not yet have a premiere date).

We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on future announcements regarding the show, which stars Tom Ellis and is based on the DC Comics character from the minds of Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg.
