Paul Toombes has played a horror movie antagonist for years, but the wicked ways of his onscreen persona are now trickling into his real life world in 1974's Madhouse. In 1975's The Land That Time Forgot, World War I-era castaways wash ashore on Caprona, a place where dinosaurs still stomp the scenery. And in similar fashion to Psycho's Norman Bates, Ezra Cobb kills people with his mother in mind in 1974's Deranged. Kino Lorber recently announced that they are bringing these three diverse films out on Blu-ray in the near future, and we have the trio's release details for those interested in making them new additions to their collections.

Madhouse: Featuring a fresh HD master, Madhouse will hit Blu-ray in July. Bonus features and the cover art have not been revealed yet. Directed by Jim Clark, Madhouse stars Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, Robert Quarry, and Adrienne Corri.

Synopsis: "Masters of macabre Vincent Price, Peter Cushing and Robert Quarry give performances to die for in this "diverting little chiller" (Boxoffice)! When horror star Paul Toombes' fiancee is brutally killed, he loses more than this job-he loses his mind. But twelve years later, when he returns to TV - only to discover a fresh batch of corpses - Paul finally begins to understand that melodrama can be murder on your career!"

The Land That Time Forgot: The Land That Time Forgot Blu-ray hits shelves in June with a key audio commentary track. The reversible cover art pictured below is not yet final. Directed by Kevin Connor, The Land That Time Forgot stars Doug McClure, John McEnery, Susan Penhaligon, and Anthony Ainley.

Synopsis: ""The action is unremitting" (Films & Filming) in this "elaborate fantasy adventure" (Time) about a band of castaways who land on a mysterious island, only to realize it's already inhabited by hordes of carnivorous creatures! In order to escape with their lives, they must wage battle against deadly dinosaurs, fearsome sea monsters, soaring pterodactyls and marauding tribes of primitive humans!"

Special Features:

  • Audio commentary with director Kevin Connor moderated by director Brian Trenchard Smith
  • Reversible cover

Deranged: Look for the Deranged Blu-ray in July. Special features are not yet known and cover art has yet to be revealed. Directed by Alan Ormsby, Deranged stars Roberts Blossom, Cosette Lee, Leslie Carlson, and Robert Warner.

Synopsis: "Based loosely on the serial killings of Ed Gein (which also provided the inspiration for 'Psycho', 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and 'Silence of the Lambs'). Ezra Cobb (Robert Blossom) is devastated when his mother dies, and so digs up her corpse and installs it in his home. After a while, Ezra decides that his Ma could use some company, and starts committing gruesome murders."
