They could jump over zombies. They could run for miles. They could row a canoe tirelessly across a lake. The six camp counselors in the 1989 NES Friday the 13th game were very athletic, but they still died at the hands of Camp Crystal Lake's Jason Voorhees. Similar to their 2013 SDCC exclusive, NECA has released only to Toys“R”Us stores a Friday the 13th Jason Voorhees figure based on the killer's NES appearance.

Now available exclusively at Toys“R”Us stores is NECA's latest figure of Camp Crystal Lake's slasher in residence, simply titled, Friday the 13th. Those who collected NECA's 2013 SDCC Video Game Jason Voorhees figure will find this new item to be quite similar in presentation, as both feature Jason's purple jumpsuit, blue skin and hockey mask, and game synopsis on the packaging. NECA has combined the style of their previous video game Jason release with the body dimensions of their 8-inch Mego-style Jason figure. The Toys“R”Us exclusive comes with an axe, machete, and speargun.

Official description and first image via Figures.com: "NECA is taking two of their newest figure formats and mashing them up for a new Toys"R"Us exclusive.
