A couple of months back, it was announced that The Walking Dead producer Gale Anne Hurd was working on a project titled Hellfest. There hasn't been much news on the movie since then, but we're now hearing that Neil Marshall (The Descent, Doomsday) is in early talks to direct the film.

Hellfest involves "a costumed killer who systematically slaughters the unsuspecting visitors who come to a theme park on Halloween night". According to Deadline, this will be Marshall's next film and production will start in summer 2012. William Penick and Chris Sey have written the script, and it is said that the plan is to turn this film into a possible franchise. We'll have more details as soon as Neil Marshall is officially on board.
