Armed and dangerous with sawed-off horns, the first full image of David Harbour as Hellboy in the upcoming reboot has been revealed. All it's missing is a cigar...

The first full image of Harbour as Hellboy was posted on the Twitter pages for both the new film (titled Hellboy) and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. You can view the image below, which gives fans a look at the latest actor to play the demon with a good heart, following Ron Perlman's take on the character in Guillermo del Toro's previous two films based on Mike Mignola's seminal comic book series.

Back in May, it was reported that a Hellboy reboot was moving forward at Lionsgate and Millennium with Neil Marshall (The Descent) in the director's chair and Harbour (Stranger Things, Suicide Squad) playing Hellboy.

In addition to Harbour, the new Hellboy film stars Mila Jovovich as the Blood Queen, Ian McShane as Professor Broom, and Daniel Dae Kim potentially on board to play Major Ben Daimio.

The creative team behind the new Hellboy movie will be filming in the UK and Bulgaria this fall. Marshall will work from a screenplay being worked on by Aron Coleite, based on a draft written by Mignola, Christopher Golden, and Andrew Cosby. Larry Gordon, Lloyd Levin, and Dark Horse Entertainment's Mike Richardson are producing the project, which is slated to come out in theaters on January 11th, 2019.

We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more information and images are revealed. In the meantime, read our Q&A with co-writer Golden and check out the new image below. What do you think of Hellboy's new look?
