Viewers watched the world of The Walking Dead grow bigger as the march to war continued in season 7, and with the larger world comes more core characters, with three actors upped to series regular status for season 8.

According to THR, Pollyanna McIntosh, Steven Ogg, Katelyn Nacon have been promoted to series regular status for season 8 of The Walking Dead. All three actors have been playing key recurring roles on the AMC series, with McIntosh as Jadis, the leader of The Scavengers, Steven Ogg as Negan's right-hand man Simon, and Katelyn Nacon as Maggie's friend and confidant (as well as Carl's romantic interest), Enid.

Season 8 of The Walking Dead is expected to premiere this fall, and with the "All Out War" storyline from Robert Kirkman's comic book series now underway, it looks to be an intense 16 episodes on the horizon.
