A new 3-minute international trailer for Prometheus has just been released and includes plenty of new footage. We also have a quote from the CEO of Fox, who says that the movie will not be cut down to achieve a PG-3 rating.
We know that the rating of the Prometheus has been a big item discussed by fans, and Fox CEO Tom Rothman recently told the press that the movie will be Ridley Scott's version and not edited specifically for PG-13: “I can assure the fans—I’m very aware of their concern—absolutely they can take it that the film will not be compromised either way. So if that means that the film is R, then it’ll be an R. If it’s PG-13, then it’ll be a PG-13, but it will not be compromised."
Prometheus will be released to theaters on June 8th and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Logan Marshall-Green, Charlize Theron, and Idris Elba.
“Ridley Scott, director of ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ returns to the genre he helped define. With ‘Prometheus’ he creates a groundbreaking mythology in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.”
