Press Release: LOS ANGELES 10/12/2023 — Skybound today revealed a first look at Dark Ride #9, the thrilling beginning to the amusement park horror series’ third story arc. From the iconic Birthright team of writer Joshua Williamson (Duke, DC’s Superman), artist Andrei Bressan (DC’s Justice League Incarnate), colorist Adriano Lucas (DC’s Nightwing), and letterer Pat Brosseau (Creepshow), the next issue of this hit comic book series will be in comic book shops on November 8, 2023.

Who is Halloween, and what is the real story behind the Princess of Devil Land? When given the choice to claim her throne, can Sam trust his sister in his time of need?

Dark Ride #9 continues the stacked variant cover lineup that has run throughout the series thus far. In addition to the main cover by Andrei Bressan and series colorist Adriano Lucas, Dark Ride’s Cover B variant brings us into the park with an issue #9 cover by Riley Rossmo (Batman), while Cover C showcases Devil Land’s resident femme fatale and horror aficionado, Halloween, by Luana Vecchio (Lovesick).

Additionally, megastar creator Tony Fleecs (Stray Dogs, Star Wars Adventures) returns for this arc to art direct the classic homage poster variant program that ran throughout the series’ first two arcs. The 1:25 incentives will also span the Cover D slot of Dark Ride’s third arc, with Andy Price (My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic) at the helm for issue #9.

Dark Ride #9 (Lunar Codes below | SRP: $3.99) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
