Don't Knock Twice: Press Release -- "It was revealed today in Cannes that Katee Sackhoff (“Oculus,” “Riddick,” “Battlestar Galactica”) will star in the supernatural horror film “Don’t Knock Twice,” directed by Caradog James and being sold in Cannes by Content Media.
In the vein of “Candyman” meets “The Ring,” “Don’t Knock Twice” is based on a psychologically terrifying urban legend. To save her estranged daughter, a guilt-ridden mother must uncover the terrifying truth behind the urban legend of a vengeful, demonic witch.
Caradog James (“The Machine,” “Little White Lies”) is directing “Don’t Knock Twice” from a script by Emmy nominated writing duo Mark Huckerby (“Howl”) and Nick Ostler (“Howl”).
The film is being produced by Red & Black Films' John Giwa-Amu (“The Machine,” “The Call Up”) and Seymour Films' Claire Moorsom. Content’s President of Film, Jamie Carmichael, serves as Executive Producer.
Principal photography will commence in July in the UK.
The film marks a re-teaming between Content Media and Caradog James and his award-winning, UK based Red & Black Films production banner. They first partnered together on the cult sci-fi action thriller “The Machine.”
Distributors worldwide will be introduced the project in Cannes by Jamie Carmichael and Content’s Head of Sales, Harry White.
Carmichael said: “Caradog has proven himself to be a very dynamic and innovative director, and clearly Katee brings a ton of experience and credibility to this genre too – they’re going to make a fantastic team.”
“After the worldwide success of ‘The Machine’ we’re excited to be traveling this journey with Content again and thrilled to have landed Katee for our leading lady,” said Giwa-Amu and James.
“Don’t Knock Twice" is financed by Altara, Ffilm Cymru Wales and Content Media.
Katee Sackhoff is represented by Manager Leland LaBarre (Bleu, An Entertainment Company), Lawyer Darren Trattner (Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein) and Agent Sheila Wenzel (Innovative Artists)."

Starring Peter Stormare (Fargo), Maestro Harrell (The Wire), Keir Gilchrist (It Follows, United States of Tara), Stella Maeve (The Runaways) and Grace Phipps (Fright Night), Dark Summer is a highly original twist on the supernatural summer season terror."
"Set in 2021, Alien Outpost is the story of the aftermath of the First Earth War, in which an invading race of aliens known as the Heavies are narrowly defeated. But thousands of the aliens were left behind, and a new war on terror now rages. In the wake of the war, a series of remote operating bases are created to defend the planet, with the deadliest being base Three Seven, positioned in the most hostile place on Earth.
A documentary film crew is sent to record daily life in Outpost Three Seven, where the men, led by hardened commander Captain Spears (Rick Ravanello, Dark Haul), are under constant enemy fire. When a member of the crew disappears during a Heavy ambush, the unit launches a raid deep into enemy territory to rescue him… only to make a terrifying discovery.
Directed by Jabbar Raisani (Visual Effects Supervisor on Game of Thrones, Machete, Predators), the explosive Alien Outpost is a science-fiction gem with stunning effects and non-stop action."
