We gave you the first look at The Walking Dead Season 3 promotional artwork last night. However, that same art is being used as the official banner for The Walking Dead at SDCC and we have it for you to check out, along with updated official photos of the group fighting off zombies outside of the prison.

Along with poster reveal, EW also posted some quotes from showrunner Glen Mazzara, talking about David Morrissey playing The Governor and what we can expect from Michonne in Season 3:

Michonne:  “Just like in the comic books, she is a badass and she hates the walkers more than anything else... She treats them with contempt. What’s interesting about the version of this character is she has a lot of trouble fitting into human society. She’s probably better off staying out there alone with the walkers. She’ll be very interesting and a complicated character to bring into the fold, if we even do that. She gives us a lot to play with.”

David Morrissey: “David is an incredibly talented actor with a lot of magnetism... and we need somebody who can serve as the foundation, the pillar, for an entire storyline, an entire world of Woodbury. David has the strength to do that. I also think that David’s approach to the character was spot on. He understands that this is an interesting, complex, multilayered, dark figure, and he’s very interested in playing that.”

Remember to tune in to AMC this weekend for the first footage from the new season during The Walking Dead Season 3 preview weekend. We'll also have plenty of exclusive coverage of The Walking Dead next week at the San Diego Comic-Con. Missed any of our previous coverage? Check out our recent articles below:
