With The Walking Dead Season 6 expected to further explore the Alexandria community, it was only a matter of time before more key characters from the comics were introduced. It's now been revealed that Corey Hawkins has been cast as Heath.

THR reveals the news of Hawkins (who plays Dr. Dre in the upcoming Straight Outta Compton) being cast in the sixth season of The Walking Dead and also has the first look at Hawkins as Heath (see below). So far, the role of Heath is a recurring one. Readers of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic book series first met Heath in issue #69 and quickly saw his productive attitude lead the way on supply runs to keep Alexandria operational.

A truly multi-dimensional, endearing character from the comics, Heath is simply awesome and it will be a treat for longtime readers to finally see him come to life on the small screen. With Heath now officially cast, it shouldn't be long before we hear casting announcements for other Alexandria members from the comics. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for further updates.
