If you saw the posts on the Walker Stalker Con Twitter account on Friday, you may have thought that they had been hacked by a group called The Dead Truth. If so, you can put those cyberspace worries aside and replace it with excitement for this year's Walker Stalker Con Atlanta, because it's been revealed that The Dead Truth is actually a one-time-only immersive experience that will take place the week of the fifth annual ultimate Walking Dead celebration.

Details on The Dead Truth were announced on Fan Fest, where it was revealed that the event will be "part scavenger hunt, part escape room, part immersive theatre," with participants will be traveling to various locations in Atlanta to solve horror-themed puzzles and discover just what exactly The Dead Truth is.

Here's what Nick Floyd, Creative Director of The Dead Truth, had to say about the experience, which is in many ways a big "thank you" to the fans of The Walking Dead who have flocked to Atlanta over the past five years to celebrate the show:

“I’ve always been a massive fan of Immersive Experiences and Escape Rooms. Walker Stalker Con Atlanta seemed like such a great opportunity to create our own experience dedicated to fans like me. Get ready to find the truth.”

You can get to the bottom of the mystery when The Dead Truth immersive experience begins at 3:00pm ET on Wednesday, October 25th at the Georgia World Congress Center. After discovering the truth, you can discuss your findings with fellow attendees at the Contamination Station Cocktail Mixer.

You must be at least 18 years of age to take part in The Dead Truth. Tickets are $20 apiece, with Contamination Station Cocktail Mixer tickets priced at $10. To learn more, visit The Dead Truth's official website and check out the FAQ for the event.

This year's Walker Stalker Con Atlanta takes place October 27th–29th and will feature a must-see list of special guests, including Andrew Lincoln, Melissa McBride, Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, and many more. To learn more, visit the event's official website and stay tuned to Daily Dead for more updates.
