After stunning viewers with The Invitation back in 2015, filmmaker Karyn Kusama (who has stayed busy in recent years directing episodes of some of the most popular TV series, as well as "Her Only Living Son" segment in the horror anthology XX) is back on the big screen with a vengeance this December with her next feature-length film, Destroyer, and you can watch Nicole Kidman's transformative performance in the movie's first trailer.

Directed by Karyn Kusama from a screenplay by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, Destroyer stars Nicole Kidman, Sebastian Stan, Toby Kebbell, Tatiana Maslany, Bradley Whitford, Jade Pettyjohn, and Scoot McNairy. The film will be released in US theaters on December 25th.

Synopsis: "Destroyer follows the moral and existential odyssey of LAPD detective Erin Bell who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past."
