"No Sesame. All street." A dark comedy puppet movie directed by Brian Henson and starring Melissa McCarthy, The Happytime Murders is teased in its first red band trailer that introduces a NSFW world where humans and puppets live together, while a vicious murderer runs rampant through Los Angeles.

Directed by Brian Henson, The Happytime Murders stars Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Joel McHale, and Elizabeth Banks. STXfilms will release the movie in US theaters on August 17th.

Synopsis: "No Sesame. All Street. THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS is a filthy comedy set in the underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives with a shared secret, one human (Melissa McCarthy) and one puppet, are forced to work together again to solve the brutal murders of the former cast of a beloved classic puppet television show."
