This June, horror fans can "dare to say his name" five times again when the new Candyman movie (a reimagining of Bernard Rose's 1992 film of the same name, which is based on Clive Barker's short story "The Forbidden") comes to theaters, and following a poster and teaser footage premiere earlier this week, the first full trailer has now been revealed, giving us a closer look at the new take on the chilling urban legend.
The new Candyman is directed by Nia DaCosta, written by Jordan Peele and Win Rosenfeld, and stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Colman Domingo, and Tony Todd (who also starred as the titular character in the previous three Candyman films).
The movie will be released to theaters on June 12th from Universal Pictures, and you can get an idea of what to expect from the new trailer below.
