After months of waiting for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special, we only have two weeks to go. Thankfully, the BBC has released the official trailer to tide us over and we have it for you to watch.

The Day of the Doctor will premiere on Saturday, November 23  and is expected to air simultaneously in over 200 countries. Make sure to check your local listings for the specific air date/time in your country. Unlike a traditional episode, this special is more like a Doctor Who movie and will be 75 minutes in length.

The special filmed earlier this year at BBC Cymru Wales’ Roath Lock Studios in Cardiff and across South Wales. Filming also took place in the Tower of London and Trafalgar Square for a scene which saw Matt Smith dangling from the TARDIS. The Day of the Doctor stars Matt Smith, David Tennant, Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper and John Hurt, but don't be surprised if there are a few unannounced cameos as well.

Official Synopsis: "The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th anniversary special. In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him."
