"The procession of shame" is coming to the small screen, as FX has officially ordered a 10-episode first season of a What We Do in the Shadows TV series.
Based on the 2014 horror comedy of the same name, the What We Do in the Shadows TV series will follow "three vampires who have been roommates for hundreds and hundreds of years" in New York City.
It's not yet known if the actors from the movie will reprise their roles in the TV series, but co-writers and co-directors Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi will executive produce the series, which is expected to premiere on FX in the spring of 2019.
In addition to the FX series, two potential spinoff projects based on What We Do in the Shadows are also in the works, one focused on the werewolves (not "swear wolves") the vampires encounter one night in town, and the other (tentatively titled Wellington Paranormal) based on the comedic cop characters Karen and Mike.
