Scream Queens viewers know her as Chanel #3, but Billie Lourd will be entering a different world of Ryan Murphy's now that she's been added to the growing cast of FX's American Horror Story Season 7.

The news of Lourd's casting comes from multiple sources, including The Hollywood Reporter. Details on Lourd's role have yet to be revealed, but she joins a cast that currently includes Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and the recently added Billy Eichner.

While official plot details for season 7 are unsurprisingly unknown at this time, American Horror Story co-creator Murphy told Andy Cohen this winter that the new season will start filming in June and is going to "be about the election that we just went through." Deadline also previously mentioned that the season 7 premiere will be "taking place on Election Night."

American Horror Story Season 7 is expected to premiere this fall on FX, with the network renewing the series for seasons 8 and 9, respectively.

In addition to playing Chanel #3 on the first two seasons of Scream Queens, Lourd also appears in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi as Lieutenant Connix, a role she played in scenes with her mother, the late, great Carrie Fisher.

Although Fox hasn't made an official announcement regarding a potential third season of Scream Queens—another series co-created by Ryan Murphy (along with Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan)—the series' core cast members are staying busy with other projects, with Lea Michele taking part in a new pilot on ABC and Abigail Breslin starring in the TV movie remake of Dirty Dancing. We'll keep Daily Dead readers updated as more information is announced.
