We know many of our US readers are enjoying the extended 4th of July weekend. You could be out in the heat right now, wishing you had a cold drink or popsicle. Unfortunately, there aren't too many horror-related options, but the guys at Freddy in Space imagine a world where a whole line of horror popsicles exist, including Freddy, Jason, and much more:

"...is there something magical about sucking on a superhero's frozen head, or is it just me?  I'm a total sucker (pun intended) for the character pops that are advertised all over the side of the ice cream man's truck, and 9 times out of 10 you'll find my local ice cream man handing one of those to me, through the window.  Those colorful popsicles with the gumball eyes, the ones that look less like their advertising image than even a real Burger King Whopper looks in comparison to the one you see on TV....how I love them.

With the weather heating up and summer fast approaching, I recently presented Freddy In Space's resident artist Frank Browning with an offer he couldn't refuse.  Hey Frank, I said.  We should totally make a line of horror movie themed ice pops.  They're never going to exist in real life, so let's take matters into our own hands, and make them somewhat of a reality through the power of your art and my blog.  As always when I pitch Frank on a wild and crazy idea, it wasn't long before he got to work."
