The first trailers for Final Girl and Big Ass Spider! (previously Mega Spider) have been released, and we have both for you to watch right now. Final Girl is the first film from Tyler Shields and stars Abigail Breslin and Wes Bentley. There are currently no release details available, but we'll update readers as soon as anything is announced.
"Loner Veronica is new to school, shy and vulnerable, the perfect target for a group of teenage boys who lure girls into the woods to hunt and kill them for sport. It’s only after they get her alone that she turns the tables on them, escaping and revealing she’s armed and knows how to defend herself. Little do they know, Veronica is an assassin-in-training, and she’s chosen killing these boys as her final test. When the dust clears, Veronica will find out if she can be the final girl these boys ever have a chance to hurt."
Big Ass Spider! will make its premiere at SXSW next month and was directed by Mike Mendez. The move stars Greg Grunberg, Lombardo Boyar, Clare Kramer, Ray Wise, Lin Shaye, and Patrick Bauchau.
"When a giant alien spider escapes from a military lab and rampages across the city of Los Angeles, it is up to one clever exterminator and his security guard sidekick to kill the creature before the city is destroyed."
